On an
Air Mauritius Inaugural flight in 1984, the then 'Head of product at American Express Travel' Stuart Wilde said why is it that the Mauritian Travel Agents in the UK only sell
flight only to the destination! So, as a dare the present Managing Director,
Harvin Kaumaya decided to launch the company's first four page mini-brochure featuring Mauritius. Never to look back! Sunset grew in subsequent years developing a network of over 1500 independent travel agents under the
Sunset Faraway Holidays brand where the brochure has now grown to over 312 pages with a Worldwide product. Also incorporated is the
Sunset Flight Club who have exclusive seat only prices to Mauritius via
Seychelles from as little as £449 including taxes and features all the main carriers with the unbeatable prices.
Luxury Holidays Direct a 3 year old brand is taking the consumer internet market by storm. With many airline, hotelier and tourist board awards for service to the destination, it is little surprise that today some 30 years on we remain the number one Indian Ocean Specialist for
holidays to Mauritius and The Seychelles.
The company was founded in 1980 and holds the following licenses
ABTA,
ATOL &
IATA and was the first agency to implement
AMADEUS CRS in the UK.
