Cousine

A 15-minute helicopter flight from Mahé (5 from Praslin) brings you to
this stunningly beautiful 25-acre granite island. Ringed by turquoise seas,
privately-owned Cousine is a nature reserve, home to rare birds and breeding
turtles. Guests are accommodated in
four well-appointed and secluded villas just a stone's throw from the ocean,
each with sea and island-facing verandas.
The island's chefs serve delicious cuisine - and you can dine a deux at
the water's edge. Walks with
Cousine's resident conservationist (perhaps to view the turtle-hatchings from
November to March) are a highlight of the unique Cousine experience. The Beach House is home to a gym and the

The
Pavilion houses the dining area, Gecko Bar, freshwater swimming pool, lounge and
library. Here the chef prepares meals to order with Creole, Asian and Eastern
influence. On Cousine Island each meal is an adventure with
open-plan cooking allowing guests to interact with the chef while he prepares
meals from the freshest local ingredients.
