Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort

Located between the beach and the pool, Le Palmier offers light, Mediterranean style cuisine, influenced by the flavours of open wood fired cooking.  Open throughout the day, it's the ideal spot for those who want to enjoy the pleasures of the sea without pause.  The Cavendish Bar is the ideal place to relax after dinner.  Guests can gather in comfortable armchairs for a nightcap and the finest cigars, all to the relaxing sounds of a live band performing on the stage overlooking the river.  An open-air dance floor invites a lively close to the evening.

Zenzi Bar is an evocative name for this lounge-bar delicately placed amongst the interlaced pools and with an unrivalled view over the lagoon.  The Blue Drift Bar is a convivial and relaxed atmosphere looking out over the lagoon on the edge of the beach, the perfect venue to sip exotic cocktails.  For a light meal at lunchtime, Amafrooty offers a scrumptious selection of sandwiches, paninis and salads poolside.  Delicious pancakes are served between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. 

The C Beach Club

Located on the beachfront, adjacent to the Heritage Le Telfair, the C Beach Club brings together tropical accents and cool chic relaxation day and night.  The C Beach Club includes Cyan Restaurant, for Mediterranean cuisine including tapas, mezze and antipasti.  Coast Restaurant for light cuisine, grills, pizza and grilled vegetables, barefoot in the sand!  Chill Bar is the place to let your hair down for intoxicating tropical moments to the sound of lounge music.  The C Beach Club also features Cool Teens Club, exclusive space for the youngsters (12/18 years) with Wi-Fi and multi-media areas, Wii games consoles, and pool table.  Cabana Boathouse offers a choice of various water sports activities within Domaine de Bel Ombre.

Golf at Heritage Golf Club

Designed by South African golf architect Peter Matkovitch, the par 72, 205 acre course has wide, undulating fairways carved through a sugar cane plantation and lies between the volcanic mountains and the turquoise blue sea.  Much of the landscaping and design, such as the use of Vettiver and Mondo grass, simulate the dramatic contours of the Bel Ombre estate plantations which still surround the course.

The course is technically challenging for low-handicappers but also highly enjoyable for recreational golfers, with five sets of tees and bunkers, water hazards and blind greens strategically placed.  Two rivers, the Citronniers and St Martin, cross the fairways at unexpected points, and lush, exotic flowers scent the air.

Beginners, or those who want to practice their short game, are catered for with Le Golf du Château's 9-hole par 3 course, the only one of its kind on the island.  As with any first class golf resort, golfers needing to fine-tune their game can visit the driving range or PGA-run golf academy for top-class instruction.  There is also a well-stocked pro shop.

Enjoy the unique variety of culinary delights!  In the comfort of your villa or at the two deluxe neighbouring hotels, be spoilt for choice!  From Asian to Mauritian, let yourself be enchanted.  Dining in Mauritius is a journey of discovery, from the Creole rougailles, Indian curries and Chinese sweet-and-sour pork to the haute cuisine of the French.  But the spread of menus reflect the diversity of Mauritian culture, with Creole cuisine focusing on tomatoes, onions, ginger, garlic and chillies; the French using elements such as palm heart, giant prawns, venison and wild boar, while fresh fish and seafood set the tone for Chinese cooking.  Should you choose to dine at home with a personal service, you will be able to choose from several in-villa proposals.  A private chef at home!  The chef will prepare the meal just as you want it, may it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner (family style).  Your own butler is available for the ultimate in professional in-villa dining, for a special dinner party with family or friends.

Guests and members of the kitchen brigade enjoy a uniquely convivial relationship, built around Annabella's kitchen where guests can be intimately involved in the preparation of the various dishes that make up their meal.  Annabella's offers a daily changing five-course choice dinner and each menu is based on the taste of Telfair with a historical theme.  Open for breakfast and dinner, the main restaurant is designed on four levels, and affords stunning views of the mountains and the river.  The terrace is perfect for a romantic starlit dinner.

Gin'ja

Open from lunch through to dinner and built on a stretch of white powdery sand, the ambience is tranquil and relaxed.  Each day at noon, take time out to savour a variety of panoramic views from the deep blue ocean to the calm riverbanks of the Citronniers River.  In the evening, the mood becomes more sophisticated.  Fish and the freshest seafood are served Japanese style, grilled on the spot, or cooked to your personal taste.

Château de Bel Ombre

For a gastronomic meal, or just to stop and take tea, the Château de Bel Ombre is in an enchanting setting, punctuated by spectacular trees, and overlooking a captivatingly beautiful French style garden stretching out towards the horizon, and at the end of it the Bel Ombre Golf Course.  Dating from the 19th century, this vast colonial mansion has been restored to its former glory.  It exudes an old-world charm, with antique furniture, panelling, high ceilings, majestic stairs and wooden floors, and is an ideal setting for a romantic dinner in a fairyland of magic lights, or just for dreaming about times gone by.
