Soneva Fushi dining experiences are diverse and memorable - from gourmet
menus across a variety of cultures and cuisines, to organic offerings, simple
barbecues and romantic escapades - and all complemented by an extraordinary wine
cellar and innovative bars.
Down to Earth Restaurant
Down to Earth offers an international breakfast buffet with live cooking
stations; fruit station comprising fresh juices and smoothies, collection of
Asian dishes including Maldivian specialities, large variety of imported cold
cuts and cheese, à la carte breakfast specialities and, to top this off, a vast
selection of fine freshly ground coffee and a range of sumptuous teas.
For a light lunch of extremely high standard, the Mihiree Mitha is located by
the beach in front of the main bar. This makes full use of a sea breeze
and the magnificent sea view. The style is ‘self-service’ to enhance the
relaxed nature of this meal experience, giving guests the opportunity to set
their own pace and try a little of everything. The concept is an
international deli experience with a variety of pizzas, sashimi, sushi, salads,
pasta and barbecue cooked to order, and ice cream parlour.
Sense by the Beach Restaurant
Alternatively, Sense by the Beach Restaurant evolves again to bring something
new to the table. Always looking to enhance the culinary experience, this
innovative restaurant introduces a Peruvian and Japanese fusion culinary
adventure. The menu draws heavily on classic Japanese food with South
American influences.
Fresh in the Garden Restaurant
This dining experience sits four metres, or more than thirteen feet, above
the organic garden and affords views across the jungle canopy, from every
angle. Arrival is through the garden, interspersed with vegetable patches,
plus herbs and spice plots. A stairway leads up to a suspended rope and
plank bridge, across which guests access the vast timber construction, which is
the restaurant. The main restaurant platform measures 200 square metres,
plus an 85 square metre terrace. In the centre of the main platform is a
sunken kitchen and dispense bar, completely open to the restaurant on all four
sides. The menu changes daily, and features the freshest produce
imaginable, with a focus on fruit, vegetables and fish, plus some organic
meats. A desert menu is enhanced with a selection of Soneva's own home
made ice creams and sorbets. The wine list features a selection of wines,
which are also available by the glass.
Private Cinema with Barbecue Dinner
Cinema Paradiso is a fun place to have a private barbecue while watching a
classic movie from the golden years of Hollywood. With your personal chef
preparing prime cuts of meat with all the trimmings, accompanied with a
favourite vintage - and served beneath a star-studded sky by your very own
waiter - this is the ultimate movie-going experience.
Villa or Sandbank Barbecue
For the more adventurous, a ‘Villa BBQ’, or a ‘Sandbank BBQ’ brings a lot of
fun into dining under the stars in the privacy of your beach garden or the
sandbank, with your own personal chef and waiter combined with nature and
tradition, amounts to a luxurious dining experience.
Desert Island Picnic
If you think you have found peace and tranquillity on Soneva Fushi, then
brace yourself for the ultimate Robinson Crusoe experience. The bounds of
civilization no longer exist; your picnic island is your opportunity to
experience nature in its raw form. A boat will deliver you to one of the
picnic islands, unload your picnic and leave... (Although you will
be picked up later, if you insist).
Sunrise Breakfast
To capture nature at its very best, we often have to make a small sacrifice,
such as getting up before dawn breaks. The sunrise in the Maldives is
sensational and to view it from the sandbank or from Dolphin Beach, with
Champagne and a light breakfast will prove to be one of those memories that last
forever.
