The Taj Cape Town's 166 exceptional rooms and suites offer an oasis-like retreat from the lively bustle of the city centre.  The historic structure of the Taj Cape Town is home to the exquisite Heritage Rooms and Suites, Tower Rooms and Suites, The Presidential Suite and the Taj Club.  All rooms and suites are beautifully decorated and replete with every luxury amenity.

 

The Heritage Rooms and Suites are situated in two historic buildings.  Here the original architecture - high ceilings, spacious rooms and large windows – is complemented by old-world quality and modern features.  The Tower Rooms and Suites are contemporary in design - with floor-to-ceiling glass façades and private balconies that open onto remarkable views.  The breathtaking vistas of the surrounds, and the magnificent Table Mountain, ensure that the Tower Rooms and Suites experience some of the best scenery the Cape Town city centre has to offer.  The second floor, of the Taj Cape Town, is dedicated to the Taj Club, which consists of 13 rooms.  Here guests have exclusive use of the private Club Lounge, covering 140 square metres, with seating for up to 25 guests.  The Taj Club concept provides a selection of services and facilities, on a complimentary basis, for all guests staying on the Taj Club floor and all Suites.  The Presidential Suite, located on the 15th and 16th floors, offers unobstructed panoramic views of Table Mountain and the Company Gardens.  The Presidential Suite - designed, decorated and equipped to ensure that guests experience uncompromising style and quiet elegance - is nothing short of exceptional.

Luxury Tower Room - City View

The Luxury Tower Rooms, located in the Tower Wing, are contemporary in their design and sophisticated in their décor.  They make use of floor-to-ceiling glass facades, and private balconies, to offer panoramic views of the city.  The décor is refined, maintaining the timeless Taj theme of elegance, without overwhelming the modern architecture.  This classic look is carried through to the luxurious bed and bathroom linen.  A walk-in closet area completes the exquisite Tower Room experience.  The Luxury Tower Room, measuring 41 square metres, has a spacious bathroom with a separate, deep oversized-bathtub, dual-headed walk-in shower, a vanity; speakers for TV, radio or iPod and Molton Brown bathroom amenities.

Presidential Suite - 2 Bedroom

The Presidential Suite, located on the 15th and 16th floors, is the premier Taj Cape Town suite.  It is exceedingly spacious at 194 square metres and offers unobstructed views of Table Mountain and the Company Gardens from every room. The Presidential Suite has been designed, decorated and equipped to reflect an exceptional level of uncompromising style and quiet elegance; showcasing the finest Indian and local craftsmanship in its furnishings and fittings. The Presidential Suite consists of two spacious bedrooms, a generous lounge (with panoramic views), a formal dining room, a dedicated pantry, a spa treatment room, a hamman steam room, a personal exercise room and a large study. The richly decorated master bedroom enjoys an unforgettable Table Mountain view.  A spacious dressing room and a spectacular bathroom adjoin it. The upper floor of the Presidential Suite houses the main study and the personal exercise room, both of which open out onto the roof terrace.  The wrap around terrace, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Table Mountain, provides a number of social recreation options for guests; from intimate sunbathing for two, to formal dining for 12 (or more), to a cocktail reception for a larger group.  The entertainment possibilities, in the Presidential Suite, are endless.

Jiva Grande Spa   Jiva Spa is a Taj concept which brings together the wisdom and heritage of the Asian and Indian philosophy of wellness and well-being.  Rooted in ancient Indian healing knowledge, Jiva Spa's derive inspiration and spirit from the holistic concept of living where guests appreciate a rich basket of fresh and uniquely Taj experiences.  The Taj Cape Town's Jiva Grand Spa features eight modern and spacious treatment rooms.  A complete range of signature treatments, and holistic therapies, all drawn from ancient Indian healing wisdom and Ayurveda are on offer. Inspired by the ancient Indian science of the planning of space, Jiva Spas unfold a refreshing idiom of spa design that emanates a harmonious balance of energy and elements in their restful tropical overtones, organic design and contemporary finishes.  The spa is equipped with single and double treatment suites, beauty treatment rooms and relaxation pools.   Fitness Centre   Within the Taj Cape Town Hotel, guests can enjoy a number of guest recreation facilities including a fully-equipped gym complete with a heated indoor pool and pampering treatments and therapies at the exclusive health spa, Jiva Grande.

The Bombay Brasserie   The Bombay Brasserie treats guests to the finest Indian speciality dining.  Here mouth-watering meals are skilfully prepared using traditional ingredients, creating some of the finest Indian cuisine outside of India. The Bombay Brasserie is a combination of contemporary design and the elegant opulence of the old Reserve Bank.  Luxurious décor complements the existing heritage pieces, creating a rich atmosphere and a wonderful backdrop for the highly acclaimed menu.  On the ground floor, the hallowed halls of the Reserve Bank have been restored to house the Bombay Brasserie, an Indian fine dining restaurant serving top Indian cuisine.  The elegant décor and authentic Indian cuisine offer a more formal and exotic culinary experience.  The Bombay Brasserie offers an a la carte menu and the show kitchen provides the opportunity for an interactive dining experience.  Here dishes are a delicate melody of flavours, a taste of modern Indian fare.   Mint   Mint, the Taj Cape Town's casual all-day dining restaurant, specialises in innovative international and local fare.  Here diners can expect to find a menu that consistently tempts their senses, taste buds and appetites. This surprisingly intimate three-level restaurant has a spectacular open-plan show kitchen, allowing guests to glimpse cuisine being created.  An impressive floor-to-ceiling wine wall and an informal wine tasting nook add to the ambience.  Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, opening onto St George's Mall, allow Mint guests to experience outdoor dining under the trees.  Mint's setting and tasteful décor create a relaxed atmosphere where every guest feels at home.
