separated from the Main Hotel, each with its own unique character, private
gardens and facilities. This
arrangement provides guests with unparalleled privacy and seclusion, all with
the spectacular backdrop of Table Mountain. The Mount Nelson
Hotel offers 201 luxurious rooms
(Superior,
Luxury) and Suites offer garden or mountain views (many with terrace/balcony)
from the main building or in charming outer buildings and cottages in the
grounds, all with television, bath and shower.

Superior Room
Superior
Rooms are spacious and elegant – ideal for both leisure and business
travellers. Guests can comfortably
be entertained in a mini-lounge area and a writing desk, complete with
stationery, is ideal for catching up on correspondence. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom
which vary in size depending on the location of the room; equipped with shower,
bath, basin and lavatory. The rooms
have a choice of twin or king-size beds.
Superior Rooms are situated in The Oasis Wing, The Main Hotel and in
Green
Park. Interconnecting rooms in Green Park are available on request. The 99 Superior Rooms vary in size,
ranging from 42/61 sq m., depending on location.

Luxury Room
Luxury
Rooms have an understated old-world charm, complemented by modern luxury for the
discerning traveller. They are
larger in size than Superior Rooms, with more spacious sitting areas and
en-suite bathrooms. Luxury Rooms
also offer a choice of twin or king-size beds with a view choice of the
magnificent gardens, Table Mountain or a balcony overlooking a
tinkling fountain courtyard. As
with the Superior Rooms, guests can comfortably be entertained in a mini-lounge
area, writing desk, complete with stationery, is ideal for catching up on
correspondence. All rooms have an
en-suite bathroom which vary in size depending on the location of the room;
equipped with shower, bath, basin and lavatory. Luxury Rooms are located in The Main
Hotel, Green
Park and Taunton
House. Interconnecting rooms
are available on request in The Main Hotel and Green Park.

Junior Suite
For
guests requiring more spacious accommodation, the Junior Suites comprise a
bedroom with a larger lounge area than Superior Rooms. Some of the Junior Suites offer a
separate lounge whilst others feature an open plan lounging area. Junior Suites offer an option of twin or
king-size beds with views of either the beautifully landscaped gardens or
Table
Mountain. Junior Suites are situated in The Main
Hotel (offering separate lounge areas), Green Park, Helmsley and Hof Villa. A number of these rooms in the Main
Hotel interconnect with a Superior Room, making them ideal for families. The 19 Junior Suites vary in size,
ranging from 63/82 sq m., depending on location.

Executive Suite
Executive
Suites are grander and more distinctive than the Junior Suites, offering
spacious open-plan lounges and dining areas. With the option of twin or king-size
beds and views of either Table Mountain or a courtyard fountain, all have
private balconies with garden furniture.
All the suites feature newly renovated, luxurious marble bathrooms with
walk-in dressing rooms. Selected
suites also offer a kitchenette/wet bar with small microwave, hot plate, sink
and general kitchen utensils. These
Executive Suites are ideal for families travelling with small children. Executive Suites are situated in
Helmsley and Taunton House. The 9
Executive Suites vary in size, ranging from 70/85 sq m., depending on
location.

Deluxe Suite
Deluxe
Suites are larger than Executive Suites, with a separate living and dining
area. The Deluxe Suites offer twin
or king-size beds with a private courtyard and a balcony overlooking a
picturesque courtyard with fountain or a private garden overlooking one of the
swimming pools. All the suites
offer luxurious marble bathrooms with walk-in dressing rooms. A kitchenette/wet bar is provided with
small microwave, washbasin and general kitchen utensils in selected suites. Deluxe Suites are located in Helmsley,
Hof Villa, Taunton House and the Garden Cottages. The 19 Deluxe Suites vary in size,
ranging from 75/138 sq m., depending on location.

Suites offer grand living at its finest.
These magnificently furnished suites feature a master bedroom with
en-suite bathroom and most offer an entrance hall, large lounge and dining
room. They are all very spacious
and have spectacular views of the garden, pool or Table Mountain. A guest cloakroom is provided and
selected suites also have a wet bar with small microwave, hot plate, sink and
general kitchen utensils. Luxury
Suites are located on the outer 'wings' of The Main Hotel building, the top
floor of Green
Park and the Garden
Cottages. The 10 Luxury Suites vary
in size, ranging from 140/142 sq m., depending on location.

Afternoon Tea at the Mount Nelson Hotel includes traditional afternoon tea
favourites such as pastrami sandwiches, smoked salmon and cucumber sandwiches,
tasty South African cheeses and biscuits, quiche and savoury pies, not
forgetting the ever popular scones with strawberry jam and a grand assortment of
tea cakes. A wide variety of teas
including Rooibos, Lapsang Souchong, Earl Grey, Darjeeling, Orange & Cinnamon, Green tea
& Mint, and Jasmine Green accompanies these taste sensations. Tea can be enjoyed in the lounge, out on
the terrace or in the beautiful gardens.

Champagne Bar
Voted 'Best Bar' by Cape Town food critic and
travel writer, Brian Berkman;
Planet, is Cape Town's hot spot where fashionable Capetonians and
international visitors gather to sip Champagne and exotic cocktails. A full-service bar and cocktail menu is
offered, with a wide selection of Champagnes and wines available by the glass
and an assortment of delicious light meals. Described as 'ultra slinky and cool with
a touch of colonial elegance exactly to the taste of Carrie Bradshaw from Sex
and the City', it should come as no surprise that many of the world's who's who
have been found at Planet. Open
from 5:00 pm. until late every evening, except Fridays when the bar opens at
3:00 pm.

inspiring range of luxury treatments that include skin care and body care
pampering. The signature treatment is the Vine Secret Vintage
Experience, a
beautiful fusion of three core therapies, embracing the powerful anti oxidant
and healing properties taken straight from the vine. Spa facilities include a steam room,
plunge pools and a sauna which are integral elements to the hydrotherapeutic
treatments, purifying the skin, soothing aching muscles and boosting
circulation.

Gymnasium
The
Mount
Nelson Hotel's high-tech gymnasium is fully
equipped with state-of-the-art cardiovascular and weight training, as well as
spin bikes and a punching bag. Two
personal trainers are available throughout the day for fitness assessments as
well as training routines. The gym
is fully air-conditioned and has a television and hi-fi to keep guests motivated
and entertained during their workout.
The gym is open daily from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm.
