Facilities Common to all Rooms
Every
now and then a hotel sets its sights on pushing back the boundaries of luxury -
The Royal Zanzibar is intended as a palace of indulgence, and so it is. Each of the eighty superior rooms,
measuring 80 square metres, and sixteen suites, located directly on the
beachfront, face west to catch the ember rays of the fading day. Once in its embrace you are drawn into a
world of opulent splendour.... With
muted architectural elegance, each villa is walled off, offering privacy
enveloped by an air of serenity.
Lavishly appointed, they are specifically designed to effortlessly merge
interior and exterior, blending the clever use of natural materials with the
contour of traditional, hardwood Zanzibari-style furniture in warm, earthy
tones.

or hot, heady potions of liquor to your hearts content. Enjoy live entertainment under a diamond
studded sky for a truly unforgettable evening.
Upepo
Upepo

tide. The Upepo pool swim-up bar
overlooking the Indian
Ocean makes sure your sails are forever billowing!
Baraza
Traditionally,
Baraza is the sitting area outside of a Swahili home. It is also a meeting place. From mid-morning retreat to Baraza, a
two-storey beach bar - it is an unfettered haven of peace and tranquillity
standing upon powder white sands.
The palms will fan you, the waves lull you, the view astound you and
Baraza will quench your thirst for more!
With breathtaking views of the Indian
Ocean, Baraza is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset while sipping
