Guest can fully unwind by taking part in art therapy with renowned Australian artist Christopher Hogan while holidaying on the white beaches of Maldives. Christopher Hogan will be One&Only Reethi Rah’s artist in residence from 1 February to 28 April 2012.

Known for compositions reflecting the beauty found in wildlife, such as fish skin patterns and the colours of marine life, his distinctive style is stimulating for the eye. In harmony with the setting of One&Only Reethi Rah, the artist will take inspiration from his time on the island and produce new work as well as guide aspirational artists staying at the resort. One&Only Reethi Rah introduces Watsu at One&Only Spa by ESPA.

Watsu (WATer ShiatSU) is a form of aquatic therapy, which quite the mind, relaxes the body and opens the heart.
It is a uniquely nurturing combination of massage, yoga-like stretches and point work carried out skin temperature (36°C) water.

The weightless environment of the water allows for graceful, fluid movements which can release muscle tension, improve circulation and increase your range of motion. Watsu therapy is provided in sessions of 60 minutes.

One&Only Reethi Rah launches Culinary School

Learn the fine art of harmonising tastes and textures in the utter luxury of the new One&Only Reethi Rah Culinary School. Under the expert tutelage of master chefs, guests will learn the delicate nuances of food presentation and world cuisine.

Classes will be available in a range of culinary styles from around the world such as Maldivian, Chinese, Italian, Indian, Arabian, Japanese “Washoku”, Thai cuisine or French desserts and pastries.

The guests will leav the course with a certificate, recipe acrd and their very own One&Only Reethi Rah apron and chef’s cap. Courses run daily for between two to four people and cost £130.

Yoga retreat with Maya Fiennes

Join internationally-renowned yogi Maya Fiennes for a Yoga Retreat at One&Only Reethi Rah. Dedicate yourself to the learning and practice of this ancient healing art and find physical, emotional and spiritual relaxation.

This coming March, Maya will hold guided yoga sessions which will lead participants down the path to spiritual balance. The Yoga Retreat will be held from 3 - 10 March 2012 and includes luxury accommodations, daily breakfast, two healthy meals, two daily yoga sessions and return boat transfers.
