Day 1: Arrival - Luang Prabang
Arrive in Luang Prabang, transfer and city tour, visiting the former Royal Palace and ascending Mount Phou Si for a sunset view. Later, visit the Street Night Market. Overnight.
Day 2: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves
Take a full-day boat trip on the Mekong River. Returning to Luang Prabang you stop to sample a local rice wine "lao lao". Overnight [B]
Day 3: Luang Prabang – Vientiane
A morning visit to Luang Prabang Market before flying to Vientiane and transferring to your hotel. An afternoon city tour includes Wat Simuang, Vientianes sacred site. Overnight [B]
Day 4: Vientiane - Hanoi
This morning fly to Hanoi. Transfer to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. [B]
Day 5: Hanoi –Ha Long Bay
Today you explore Hanois illustrious history with visits to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, the Temple of Literature and Hanois Old Quarter before transferring to Ha Long Bay. [B]
Day 6: Ha Long Bay - Boat Cruise - Hanoi
Today, enjoy a cruise through the limestone cliffs of Ha Long Bay with a seafood lunch on-board. Return by road to Hanoi. [B, L]
Day 7: Hanoi - Hue
Fly to Hue, the former Imperial Capital of Vietnam. Take a cruise on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu pagoda and later, visit the Imperial Citadel. [B]
Day 8: Hue – Da Nang - Hoi An
Drive via the coast to Hoi An. Visit a lantern workshop, and then take a walking tour to see the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the riverside market. After a boat trip on the Thu Bon River enjoy free time in the Old Town. Overnight. [B]
Day 9: Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City
Depart for Da Nang, fly to Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to your hotel with the rest of the day free. Overnight [B]
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels
This morning visit the amazing labyrinthine Cu Chi Tunnels, an essential network and hiding place during the war. An afternoon city tour includes Notre Dame Cathedral, Chinatown and the Binh Tay Market. Overnight [B]
Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho
Take a boat trip to see Cai Bes floating market. Visit village enterprises producing rice paper then cruise to Cho Lach. After lunch continue to Binh Hoa Phuoc islet for a sampan ride. Overnight in Can Tho. [B, L]
Day 12: Can Tho – Chau Doc
An early morning cruise to Cai Rang floating market selling goods from all over the Mekong Delta. Later, visit the Chau Giang Fish Farm, raising fish in cages beneath floating houses. Return to Chau Doc. [Breakfast]
Day 13: Chau Doc - Phnom Penh
A half-day cruise to Phnom Penh displays the Mekongs riverside life. On arrival visit some of the capitals highlights including Wat Phnom. End the day with a traditional Khmer massage at the spa. Overnight [B].
Day 14 Phnom Penh - Siem Reap - Angkor Complex
An early transfer and flight to Siem Reap; transfer to your hotel before exploring the ancient city of Angkor. Visit ruins including Bayon and the Royal Palace then visit the magnificent Angkor Wat to experience the monument at sunset. Overnight. [B]
Day 15 Siem Reap - Angkor Complex
Today you explore the graceful 11th century Temple of Shiva – Banteay Srei – and return via the Ta Prohm Temple, mystically enveloped in the jungle. Later, visit a Silk Farm at Pourk and then learn about training rural youths at Artisans d Angkor. Overnight. [B]
Day 16 Siem Reap - Departure
