Overview


Brightly coloured cottage units are scattered throughout the resort’s 21 acres of lush tropical gardens.  With the gentle slopes leading to the bay, you will enjoy spending time on the wonderful beach or exploring the 500,000 year old caves that are dotted along the coastline.  The resort offers a host of activities.  Tennis can be enjoyed day or night, while stunning golf courses are less than 10 minutes’ drive away.  Divers can explore ancient wrecks or the delicate coral reefs close to the resort beach.  The elegant informality of the resort is beautifully reflected in the dining options available; enjoy fine dining in the Palm Court Restaurant or savour a beachside grill where the gentle sounds of the ocean accompany your laid back evening.

The Spa in Prospero's Cave at Grotto Bay

Over 500,000 years in the making, The Spa at Grotto Bay offers an experience like no other; the new Spa offers the opportunity to get back to nature. Guests can embrace the serenity and peace provided by Mother Nature as they enjoy personalised spa treatments amongst the stalactites and stalagmites overlooking a crystal-clear ocean-fed lake. This incredible natural masterpiece is the perfect setting for a once in a lifetime spa experience with the soothing dripping of water and the gentle flickering light of candles creating a unique ambience. Reputed to have been discovered by Sir George Somers in 1609-1610, Prospero's Cave is named after the central character in Shakespeare's The Tempest. The play is commonly thought to have been based on William Shakespeare's account of the stay of Sir George Somers in Bermuda following his shipwreck on 28th July 1609.

The Palm Court

The Palm Court has just undergone an exquisite redecoration and renovation. Stately palms, natural sisal details, mahogany, terracotta tiles and trade wind motifs deliver a relaxed and tropical atmosphere for casual dining. The Palm Court offers an Island inspired menu; along with an exotic beverage menu ensure your enjoyment for dinner. The Palm Court also features an elegant new bar offering all of your favourite cocktails, wines and beers.

The Hibiscus Room

The Hibiscus Room features elegance in soft hues of coral, beige and crisp white echo tropical sophistication in the newly decorated and renovated formal dining room. Here you will enjoy fine traditional European cuisine with a Bermudian flavour which changes daily. Open for breakfast and dinner year-round. The Hibiscus Room is the perfect choice for more formal dining. Dress code is smart casual. Jacket and tie is optional.

Bayside Bar & Grill

Bayside is the place for outdoor fun and a taste of home with your favourite quick foods - hamburgers, hot-dogs, salads, sandwiches & much more. The Bayside Bar & Grill also features two theme night buffets for added enjoyment, offering a savoury Island BBQ on Monday evening and a fresh Seafood Soiree on Thursday (Seasonal & weather permitting).
