Day 1: Los Angeles Arrival Arrive at Los Angeles International Airport and make your way to your hotel.
Day 2: Los Angeles - Mojave Desert – Laughlin (305 miles) This morning, set out east through the Mojave Desert for Laughlin, Nevada, an oasis by the Colorado River offering outdoor river activities and casino entertainment.
Day 3: Laughlin - Kingman - Grand Canyon National Park (215 miles) Set out east to join historic Route 66 and then north to Grand Canyon National Park. Spend the day discovering the distinct South Rim of the Canyon; maybe walking part of the Rim Trail.
Day 4: Grand Canyon National Park - Painted Desert - Monument Valley (207 miles) Drive east through the Painted Desert and through the Navajo Nation Indian Reservation to reach Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, with its spectacular red sandstone monolith features.
Day 5: Monument Valley - Page/Lake Powell (108 miles) Venture east through Black Mesa area on your way to Lake Powell, a vast, blue man-made lake surrounded by sandstone walls and a popular leisure area.
Day 6: Page/Lake Powell - Kanab - Bryce Canyon National Park (167 miles) This morning you set out to Utahs Bryce Canyon National Park. Famous for its unique geology, Bryce Canyon consists of a series of wind-shaped horseshoe-shaped amphitheatres filled with colourful limestone rock formations called "hoodoos".
Day 7: Bryce Canyon National Park - Zion National Park - Las Vegas (236 miles) Spend the morning exploring more of Bryce Canyon before heading west to Zion National Park, Utahs oldest national park with incredible canyons. Continue driving west to Las Vegas, Nevada.
Day 8: Las Vegas Enjoy a full day Las Vegas style. Experience the famous Las Vegas Strip lined with spectacular mega-resorts, the many casinos, shows, designer shopping malls, rollercoasters, enjoy!
Day 9: Las Vegas - Death Valley National Park (139 miles) Todays journey west takes you to the lowest and driest area in North America, Death Valley National Park; Mojave is at its most rugged with vibrantly coloured badlands.
Day 10: Death Valley National Park - Yosemite National Park** (350 miles) This morning, travel north into the High Sierra and enter Yosemite National Park. Yosemite was one of the first wilderness parks in the United States and very impressive. Learn about the natural wonders of the park during a ranger-guided stroll, hike on 800 miles of trails or explore a giant sequoia grove.
Day 11: Yosemite National Park - Lake Tahoe (210 miles) Leave Yosemite behind as you journey north to scenic Lake Tahoe, surrounded on all sides by the Sierra Nevada mountain range. You can explore the lake by rented speedboat or simply stroll along its shore.
Day 12: Lake Tahoe - Sacramento - San Francisco (230 miles) Today you drive west through Gold Rush-era attractions, Sacramento, and on to the fascinating city of San Francisco.
Day 13: San Francisco Today is free to explore the City by the Bays distinct neighbourhoods on foot or try a cable car. Visit Fisherman''s Wharf, Chinatown, Union Square, Nob Hill, Golden Gate Park and the iconic Bridge.
Day 14: San Francisco Departure Return your rental car at San Francisco International Airport ready for your departure flight.
