Padi Snorkelling and Dive Programmes
Tenggol Island, part of the Terengganu Marine Park, lies approximately 45 minutes by speedboat and is famous for its white sandy beaches, untouched coral gardens and diverse marine life. The island with its clear waters, tropical latitude and unspoiled reefs offers fantastic marine biodiversity for divers and snorkellers alike between March and September.Â With over 20 dive spots around the island, Quiver (R-6578) features a full range of programmes, adaptable to the levels and preferences of each snorkeller or diver.
Traditional Handicraft classes
Learn a new skill and bring home a unique souvenir to remember your stay. Classes include lessons on paper flower decorations and making ketupat, a diamond-shaped pouch of woven palm leaf locally used during festive occasions to contain and cook rice.
Jara Hill Walk & Malay Herbal Garden Visit
Discover interesting facts about the local flora and fauna still used by many of the nearby villagers in their daily lives. Led by the resort's resident naturalist, this gentle walk includes a tour of the Malay herbal garden and a gentle climb up the steps of Jara Hill, for a panoramic view of the coastline and a sighting of the sea eagles' nesting ground. Do wear suitable, covered walking shoes and bring along mosquito repellent.
Outdoor Games: Gasing, Volleyball, Sepak Takraw and Petanque
Try your hand at gasing, a traditional top spinning game popular among the locals, play a round of volleyball or a traditional woven rattan ball game called sepak takraw. Guests can also enjoy a game of boules, known as petanque in France where it originated. All games are available on a daily basis. For groups, friendly tournaments can be organised.
Discover more about these magnificent creatures at the resort's turtle hatchery, launched in partnership with Lang Tengah Turtle Watch. Between March to September, learn about the dangers they face and the conservation efforts made to protect their hatchlings from poachers and return them to their natural habitat in the sea. Guests can also, during nesting season, get involved in inspecting the nests (subject to availability) during the day, and if fortunate, to witness the emergence of hatchlings by night.
