From the 11th – 18th June 2014, Sharon Jones our account manager travelled to Mauritius and Dubai. She visited the Luxury One&Only Le St. Geran in Mauritius, also The Palace, The Residence, The Arabian Court, The Palm and Atlantis the Palm which is all part of the Royal Mirage complex in Dubai!
And this is what Sharon had to say about the trip….
Flights with Emirates
I had 4 flights with Emirates in total and on whole they were pretty good and on time. They are a big airline and most flights had over 12 Cabin crew. Their in-flight entertainment was very good with a wide variety of films to watch.
Le St Geran Mauritius
Just as I remembered a beautiful hotel with a great ambience and the service by the staff is faultless as they are all so attentive, rooms were big and spacious with a lovely dressing area for the ladies. The meals were always tasty and both “Rasoi” the Indian restaurant and “Prime” the Al la carte restaurant both served amazing food and “Prime” gave the most delicious Beef Wellington using “Wagu” beef, it was to die for.
Activities in Mauritius
WOW!! The Quad biking was FANTASTIC and would recommend this as a half day excursion. The good thing is you can also try “Horse Riding” and “Zip Wiring” at the same Adventure Centre.
Again big and spacious rooms with gorgeous fluffy slippers for guests. Food at The Palace was good with “Olive’s restaurant” serving a good selection of pastries and hot food for breakfast as well as different “feeding stations” for supper. Alex the Director of Sales at Royal Mirage took us to their Moroccan restaurant for what can only be described as an introduction of Moroccan food with plenty of dishes to try along with pink champagne and wine.
Lunch at “The Palm”
This boutique hotel was simply stunning and my favourite overall. The detail in each room was well thought out and because its small the clients are made to feel very special. The lunch itself was fab and the main course we had a large steak cooked to perfection, definitely would recommend this hotel for couples looking for that unforgettable personnel experience.
Atlantis the Palm
Great for families as plenty for them to do with “Aquaventure” and kid clubs, I would strongly suggest up selling to “Club rooms” as you get not only a better room but afternoon tea and cakes, free alcoholic drinks in the club lounge between 6-8pm and free kids club otherwise even the kids club will cost the parents £5 each visit. The Aquaventure was great fun and had a go on a few rides but I declined the one where you are put in a tube, the floor gives way and you drop to the bottom.
Quad biking, Horse Riding, Zip Wiring, Tea Route and Camel riding……
