Hong Kong is a cosmopolitan and financial metropolis, with towering sky scrapers and world renowned restaurants, which live harmoniously alongside age-old markets, smoky temples, shrines and traditional customs. Another highlight is to hop on a Star Ferry for a classic view of the skyline, or venture to Happy Valley Race Courses.

Hong Kong's endless list of stylish bars and nightclubs give Hong Kong its reputation for being a city which never sleeps, but there are also plenty local karaoke bars if you're looking for something more authentic. On Hong Kong Island, trendy Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo are home to up-market bistros, jazz clubs and bars, whereas Wan Chai has evolved into a place known for its late-night parties. In Kowloon's Tsim Sha Tsui, you'll find a host of busy bars and discos a-plenty, both local and at the many resorts and hotels.

Gourmet Cuisine & Dining Out

Hong Kong's native cuisine is Cantonese, with Chiu Chow and Shanghai cuisine also on offer with a selection of vegetarian options too. Due to the size and popularity of the city, you will find pretty much every cuisine under the sun; with many Western restaurants also enjoying a memorable location. Since you're in Hong Kong, make sure you do it least indulge in their world-famous Dim Sum, along with some of Asia's other finest culinary delights.

With its fusion of traditional markets and light-show of its Harbour Front, Hong Kong is a fantastic place for families to explore. With many different activities including day trips to beaches, the islands, or simple boat trips to take in the sites, there is no shortage of ways to keep children entertained.
