For decades Bush Lodge has been Sabi Sabi's flagship lodge, famed for its warmth, vibrancy and legendary hospitality. A favourite amongst travellers in search of luxury accommodation, Bush Lodge is a luxurious safari escape set in the heart of the Sabi Sabi bushveld overlooking a waterhole and an African plain. Bush Lodge's charm is evident from the outset. Here you will savour uncompromising high standards of service, efficiency and personalised attention.

Huge viewing decks are the ideal setting to relax while spotting game, bird watching, or cooling off in the filtered pools. Meals, including the wonderful dinners in the open-air boma, are heralded by blasts on a kudu horn, a summoning to delicious food. This luxury safari lodge also features artistically designed open courtyards with spectacular wooden carvings by renowned South African sculptors, created from uprooted trees and wood salvaged from the surrounding bushveld.

The daily safari programme at the four luxury African safari lodges provide the perfect combination of thrilling wildlife activities, world-class accommodation, fine dining and absolute relaxation.

Southern Africa captivates everyone who is lucky enough to experience its power and magic. The concept of 'Safari' conjures up images of adventure, dramatic landscapes and exciting wildlife. Sabi Sabi's four luxury safari lodges are located in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve which is geographically integrated with the Kruger National Park.

Sabi Sabi epitomises Africa's magic. With no fences between the reserve and the Kruger Park, big game abounds, moving freely through this unspoiled part of the ancient African continent. The Reserve is blessed with a great biodiversity of habitat and wildlife giving an excellent chance of close encounters with the 'Big Five' - elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard - as well as wild dog and cheetah. With over 300 bird species, the reserve is a birdwatcher's delight.

There has been no hunting here for over half a century and the animals have become habituated to - and relaxed in the presence of - safari vehicles. The ultimate destination for a luxury safari; visitors to Sabi Sabi can look forward to the unique experience of close encounters with animals as they continue unperturbed in their natural daily patterns of hunting, feeding, courting and suckling.

Safaris take place each morning and evening in open Land Rovers which drive through a wide variety of habitats, allowing visitors to view the vast interactions of the wild. After breakfast, guests on guided walking trails can experience the natural environment on foot. Bush Lodge's executive chef Wilfred Mtsali has a wealth of worldwide experience and describes his food as 'Contemporary African'. New international trends blend with traditional African fare to create a menu that is cutting edge yet comforting. The dishes range from South African braais (barbecues) to African mezze platters. Wilfred's trademark is cooking as much as possible freshly over the grills, capturing the freshness and barbecue taste that combine excellently with the fusion of fresh ingredients supplied daily. Wilfred is also very well trained in Indian vegetarian cuisine and caters to individual needs.
