About the Young Island
Young Island is an understated resort on a totally private, stress-free island; the perfect barefoot escape. Young Island Resort, a private 35-acre island enclave is a lush flower- and vegetation-draped retreat that conjures up imagery of a Robinson Crusoe island. It is a romantic and utterly informal castaway setting, where the stresses and strains of daily life melt away and the modern luxurious of the 21st century are beautifully blended with island escapism. While the food is delicious (you must try the numerous different breakfast breads for which the chef is famous), the accommodation rustic yet comfortable, the true delight is the sail away option. On a 44ft/50ft yacht 1-2 couples, with captain and crew, can spend 2-3 nights sailing around the stunningly beautiful Grenadine Islands, a magical and wholly romantic experience.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS
Deluxe Cottage
- Three of these Deluxe Cottages are on the middle hillside the other is on the beach. In addition to the features in the Superior Cottage, they have a sitting area within the bedroom and a large terrace. A coffee-maker is also provided.
Duvernette Suite
- Two-bedroom hillside cottage with spacious separate living and dining areas, all fully air-conditioned. Duvernette Suite is situated at the top of Young Island with views of the sea, Fort Duvernette, St. Vincent and Bequia. Surrounded by a private yard with a small private infinity-edge pool; furnished deck with chairs, umbrella, & hammock. Additional amenities include coffee-maker, kettle, toaster oven, microwave, larger refrigerator, and CD-player.
Luxury Suite with Plunge Pool
- Luxury Suites are located on the beach or the hillside and in addition to the features in the other categories they have a private plunge pool as well as a separate sitting area, CD-player, large terrace and private gazebo.
Superior Cottage
- Fan cooled with shuttered windows, private bathroom including an open-air private garden shower, furnished private terrace, mini-fridge, safe, bathrobe and hairdryer. The cottages have a king bed that can be changed to two twin beds. Superior Cottages are located on the lower hillside while others are on the beach side.

Just off shore is the Coconut Bar where drinks are served in fresh coconuts, guaranteed to taste like 'one more', before the swim back to shore.
- Captain Bligh Lounge & Bar
For your sundowner cocktails, or a cool refreshing beer, this is the place to start your evening at Young Island. Enjoy the sweet sounds of Caribbean music and start getting into the 'mood'.
- Entertainment
After the special pool side cocktail hour on Friday evening, you will enjoy listening to the Bamboo Melodian Band. On Saturday evening, you can dance under the stars to the beat of the Steel Band Orchestra.
- Sailaway
Guests opting for one of the Sailaway Packages enjoy a few nights exploring the Grenadines on board one of the hotel's yachts (44ft or 50ft), with a captain and a cook to prepare meals on board. Each yacht sleeps one or two couples and crew. The yacht usually departs the resort late morning and returns at the end of the sail by mid morning. A 2-night sail includes the islands of Bequia and Mustique, 3 nights will also visit the Tobago Cays if the weather is perfect. Sailaways anchor for the night with optional sightseeing and snorkelling at each stop.

Surrounded by tropical foliage, the location of the spa will enhance and enlighten your experience. Products from Earth Mother Botanicals of Barbados are made from natural ingredients and include a Bajan cane sugar body scrub, Sea Salt body scrub, Ylang Ylang hydrating cream, Vanilla bean body lotion, guava seed foot scrub and mint cool foot lotion, among others. Excellent therapists are both from St. Vincent and come with extensive experience.

Dining at Young Island under romantic thatched kiosks near the beach or in the dining room surrounded by tropical gardens is a memorable experience. Several nights a week, guests enjoy elegant buffets prepared by award-winning chefs. Fresh fruits and vegetables are abundant, along with the gourmet selections featuring fish, beef, pork, and chicken. Breakfast offers such delights as flaming rum French toast and outstanding cheese omelette. As a special treat - each meal offers six loaves of freshly baked bread from the kitchen - white, coconut, banana, raisin, cinnamon, and wheat.
