ACTIVITIES
Entertainment
- The Rhu Bar
The Rhu Bar cultivates a rich Middle Eastern ambience. Amidst hanging fabrics, guests lounge on wicker sofas piled high with coloured cushions, while enjoying views of clear blue waters and beyond. Turkish water pipes, Indian Mogul hanging swings and a pool table complete the picture. Rhu Bar offers a selection of meze as snacks, and an evening beverage list featuring house special tropical cocktails, old favourites, international beers and an extensive wine list.
- Nature Excursions
The Resort places guests within easy reach of some of the Langkawi UNESCO Geopark's most wondrous natural experiences. Guests can explore mysterious forests between land and sea on a Naturalist-led boat safari from the Resort's beach into the Kilim Karst Geoforest Park - home to majestic eagles, mischievous macaques, fish that 'walk', colourful fiddler crabs, shy otters and sleeping bats. Or immerse in the sights and sounds of Langkawi's awe-inspiring rainforest on an exploration of Pulau Langgun - a haven of pristine rainforest encircling a karst lake. Then there's rock-climbing and archery within the Resort itself, with a natural 12-metre limestone outcrop and professional archery range just steps from the guest accommodation. Children as young as five can become intrepid jungle explorers during mini rock-climbing and abseiling activities, while those aged 12 years and over can try using a bow and arrow, in the wild like real-life hunters, with expert supervision and help from fully trained instructors.
Wellness
- The Geo Spa
The Geo Spa at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi distils the ancient energies of Langkawi's UNESCO Geopark into bespoke natural treatments by ila. Amid six floating spa pavilions flanked by towering limestone cliffs, the dramatic spa complex showcases four series of treatments that draw on Langkawi's ancient rocks, abundant water, unique light and indigenous flora to help guests address specific wellness needs. Complimentary consultations determine which treatment or series of treatments best supports each guest's needs, while recommended yoga programmes, corresponding bathing rituals and in-resort activities enable guests to continue immersing in the benefits of the surrounding nature beyond the spa complex. The Geo Spa's signature ritual, Raja and Ratu (King and Queen) Connect, is a sensual journey of love that incorporates some of Malaysia's most therapeutic essential oils: mawar (the oil of love), bunga limau (bliss) and bungar melur (for stimulating the flow of love). Combined with homemade herb and spice poultices featuring bunga chengkih, kayu manis and buah pelage, and concluding with a traditional blessing ceremony, this gorgeous ritual results in a beautiful union of body and spirit, as well as emotional and sexual connection.
