About the Chitwa Chitwa Game Lodge
Originally a private family retreat, Chitwa Chitwa earned its name as an affectionate ode to the aging giraffe bull who shared the lakeside home as an extended member of the Brink family. According to the owner, Charl Brink, the majestic arrival of this regal relative was always signalled by the creaking of his old joints - and still today, his watchful essence is felt presiding over the lodge.
Much like the giraffe around which this charming tale of Chitwa Chitwa is centred, the private game lodge is magnificent and graceful in appearance, yet humble enough to evaporate into the surrounding beauty of the unspoiled bush of the Sabi Sand. Charlsy Suite
- For friends and family who wish to stay together, there is the Charlsy Suite which consists of two spacious inter-leading suites. The Suite has a common deck connecting the two suites, with a private swimming pool. Charlsy Suite has both air-conditioning and ceiling fans, en-suite bathrooms with large showers (indoor & outdoor) and separate bathtubs, and pure cotton bed linen and mosquito nets to guarantee a comfortable and restful sleep after an eventful day out in the bush. Additional amenities include romantic fireplace, mini-bar, tea/coffee-making facilities and iPod docking station.
Suite
- Great care has been taken to balance unpretentious style with complete comfort in the beautiful chalets. Each individually decorated suite has its own private plunge pool, framed by a spacious timber deck that overlooks the nearby lake – a popular drinking hole for the wealth of wildlife. Each spacious suite, varying from 130 to 180 square metres, can accommodate two extra beds for children under the age of 12 years. Here your dedicated butler and game ranger provide 24-hour assistance and will cater to your every desire.
