About the Grande Roche
In colourful gardens deep in the Paarl Valley Winelands, just 40 minutes from Cape Town, Grande Roche is an elegant Cape Dutch estate and national monument - and an exclusive Relais & Chateaux retreat that has won many awards for the excellence of its tasteful luxury, cuisine and wine-cellar. The 34 air-conditioned rooms and suites (Terrace, Duplex and Honeymoon) are in the lovingly restored outbuildings and newer terraces. The Manor House features the gourmet Bosman's Restaurant (a setting of crystal and chandeliers). Grande Roche has two swimming pools, tennis courts and bicycles for relaxation. Bosman's has a wide range of cigars. The staff are trained to help you select the perfect cigar to suit your taste and will expertly cut and light it for you. Comfortable venues are provided to comply with South Africa's stringent no-smoking laws, where professionally maintained Cuban, Dominican Republic or Mexican cigars may be selected from the well-stocked humidor.

The Grande Roche Health Centre is the perfect place for indulgent pampering! The peaceful setting and beautiful surroundings ensure that you are able to relax, de-stress and experience a transcendent feeling of well-being. The Health Care Centre offers guests gym and massage facilities as well as an outdoor heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room.

The professional in-house masseur is available from Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Massages and body treatments on Saturday and Sunday, or on Public Holidays are available by prior arrangement.

- Bosman's Restaurant
The recently renovated manor house at Grande Roche is the heart of the hotel and home to the award-winning Bosman's Restaurant. A fusion of imaginative and innovative epicurean delights will tantalise the most discerning of palates in Africa's first and only Relais Gourmand restaurant. Bosman's is a 70-seater restaurant with a terrace and patio seating 60 in fine weather. It is open seven days a week. Dress code for the restaurant is smart - no 'Jacket & Tie' requirement. There is wheelchair access throughout.

A sumptuous selection of the Cape's finest fare can be enjoyed in the relaxed and contemporary Bistro Allegro. Choose to enjoy your meal out on the pool patio or in its modern, colourful interior. There are fabulous dishes to savour like fresh salads, seafood, pastas, mouth-watering club sandwiches, delicious desserts, cakes and cheese platters. The Bistro Allegro is the perfect place for a pleasant and informal meal.
- Gourmet Wine Evenings
Grande Roche regularly hosts an exciting culinary events programme featuring discerning food and wine connoisseurs and top wine makers and wine personalities. These Gourmet Wine Evenings are held at the celebrated, award-winning Bosman's Restaurant. South African pianists enhance the atmosphere of these Gourmet Evenings, providing quality musical accompaniment. The Gourmet Evenings' five-course dinners and wines are selected by both the hosts and the hotel cellar-master. Special stay-over packages are available for these luxurious gourmet weekends.
