Anse Chastanet Resort, St Lucia
OVERVIEW
Located in St Lucia unspoilt south-west corner, amidst 600 acres of exotic grounds dropping steeply to two quiet beautiful bays, you will find an array of accommodation informal in its design, luxurious in its setting and style. Yoga and jogging along the shoreline replace intensive, time structured work-outs, trade winds replace the hum and blasts of air-conditioning, and an opportunity to harmonise with nature replaces intruding resort entertainment. Each of the rooms is uniquely designed, and while the sensuous seclusion of the rooms provide you with the perfect excuse for lolling away the day on the balcony, you could also partake in one of the many activities on offer; snorkelling, scuba diving, tennis, sunset sailing, jungle biking, kool kayaking or a nature walk among the ruins of a colonial plantation.
Please note that there are approximately 100 stairs leading from the beach level to mid-hillside level, therefore the property is unsuitable for those with walking difficulties or cardiac problems. A complimentary shuttle service from beachside to hillside level is provided any time it is requested.

- Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga
Standup paddleboard yoga is asanas (yoga poses) practiced on the paddleboard in the most serene setting you can imagine. Moving to the water adds a whole new dimension to your practice, on the water you have no choice but to be present and focused. Your mind has no desire to wonder off to other thoughts about the past or the future. You can let go of your expectations and judgments with your mind focused on the foundations of yoga. It's a fun practice with some major benefits, for the mind as well as the body, and the best part is if it gets too hot, then a cooling dip in the sea is not far. Look out for Laura's paddle board demonstration in the Anse Chastanet Bay on Tuesdays at 12:15 pm.
