Day 1: Hanoi – Arrival
Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi - Sightseeing
Today is dedicated to exploring Hanoi’s illustrious history with visits to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and the Temple of Literature, imbued with the philosophies of Confucianism. A cyclo tour shows you Hanoi’s Old Quarter, with a stop at an ancient Vietnamese "long house". Overnight in Hanoi [B]

Day 3: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay
Drive through rice paddy fields to Ha Long Bay to board a junk for a cruise among the hundreds of islets of Ha Long Bay with a seafood lunch on board. Drop anchor in the late evening for an overnight stay on board. [B, L, D]

Day 4: Ha Long Bay – Boat Cruise – Hanoi – Hue
Spend the morning cruising through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Ha Long Bay before returning to the wharf. Transfer to Noi Bai Airport and fly to Hue. On arrival, transfer to hotel for overnight in Hue. [B]

Day 5: Hue – Sightseeing
Take a morning boat cruise on the peaceful Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda. Later, visit the Imperial Citadel and the Dong Ba Market. The spectacular Citadel houses a series of palaces, ornate halls, libraries and colleges. [B]

Day 6: Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An
Drive along the coast and via mountain passes to Hoi An. Visit the Cham Museum in Da Nang housing the world’s finest collection of Cham artworks. Continue to Hoi An for the rest of the day at leisure and overnight. [B]

Day 7: Hoi An – Sightseeing
Call in at of Hoi An’s famous lantern workshops before a walking tour to explore this World Heritage Site. Take a peaceful boat trip on the Thu Bon River before some free time to further explore. [B]

Day 8: Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City
Depart for Da Nang and fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer on arrival to your hotel for three nights with the rest of the day free. [B]

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels – Sightseeing
In the morning visit the amazing Cu Chi Tunnels where Vietnamese guerrillas built a labyrinth of narrow tunnels as hideouts during the war. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon for a half-day city tour to include Chinatown and the Binh Tay Market. [B]

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City – Ben Tre – Boat Cruise
Depart for the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival in My Tho, enjoy a boat cruise along the river, then visit a local house to take tea and local fruits. Board a sampan to drift along the tree-lined canals. After lunch, visit a family-run business before returning to Ho Chi Minh City. [B, L]

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City – Departure
Free until transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for your departure. [B]
This Hanoi originating tour is based on Pick up/drop off service from Hanoi Airport, drop off at Ho Chi Minh Airport, shared twin room accommodation as below, ‘seat in coach’ transport, meals (B- Breakfast, L-Lunch, D-Dinner) and sightseeing/activities with an English speaking guide included as specified. A private tour following a similar itinerary is also available with daily departures at a supplement, on request.
